One plant. Two mills. Every machine on record.

Extrusion presses to 10,500 tonnes on one side, a Danieli sheet & plate mill on the other — both fed by the same automated cast house and verified by the same laboratory. Here is the complete equipment list, published in full.

The Cast House — shared origin of every product

CASTRIGHT II™ automated casting with LARS™ in-line refining feeds billets to the extrusion plant and slabs to the rolling mill.

Melting Technology

Metal quality is decided before the first pass

The cast house runs on our proprietary CASTRIGHT II™ automation system — a PLC-controlled, premium-accuracy billet and ingot casting platform — paired with LARS™, an in-line liquid aluminium refining system that purifies the melt through high-energy diffusion and chemically driven mass transfer.

The result: billets and slabs with the internal cleanliness that extrusion dies, anodizers and aerospace auditors all demand — repeatably, heat after heat.

  • 4 melting furnaces of 66 metric tonnes each
  • 2 fully automated casting lines
  • 2 continuous homogenising furnaces
  • 4 batch furnaces and 2 coolers

Extrusion Plant

Profiles, bars and tubes — a graduated press line-up from 1,000 to 10,500 tonnes, with matched stretching, heat treatment and cutting.

Press Line-Up

Press force from 1,000 to 10,500 tonnes

Small architectural profiles and massive industrial sections each run on the machine sized for them — not squeezed onto whatever is free.

Stretching & straightening

Dedicated straightening machines for solid bars, square, rectangular and hollow profiles — with the number of straightening rolls and planes matched to each section geometry for optimum results.

Precision cutting — OMRM 125 AL

Automatic single-head profile cutting with a Ø 450 mm diamond saw, cutting at any angle from 0° to 180° — clean ends, exact lengths, no rework.

Every extrusion line feeds a 26 × 6 m automatic cooling and conveying table with in-line straightening. Solution and ageing treatment covers extruded profiles of 4 – 6 m.

Sheet & Plate Mill

Danieli-automated rolling from slab to finished sheet, plate and coil — hot mill, cold mills, stretchers and finishing lines.

Hot Rolling

Danieli sheet & plate rolling mill

A Danieli-automated flexible hot mill: single-stand reversing roughing, multi-stand finishing, twin-coiler single-stand finishing, and combination plate-and-coil rolling — one line, every format.

Rolling stands

  • Roughing mills
  • Twin-coiler reversing mills
  • Tandem finishing mills
  • Plate mills
  • Hydraulic vertical edgers

Shape & thermal control

  • Optimized Shape Roll (OSRT) work-roll shifting technology
  • Advanced cooling for thermal crown and finishing temperature control

In-line handling

  • Heavy and light-gauge shears
  • In-line side trimmers and scrap choppers
  • Plate and coil handling, weighing and marking systems
  • In-line plate stacking equipment

Plate Stretchers

60 to 120 MN of controlled elongation

Fully hydraulic plate stretchers covering the complete 6 – 300 mm thickness range, engineered for flatness and stress relief on every plate that leaves the mill.

A separate 2,500 – 3,600 t stretching press handles aluminium blooms from 127 to 254 mm thick.

  • Elongation and stretching-speed control
  • Quick-moving cylinders for efficient adjustment
  • Automatic plate loading and centering
  • Hydraulic clamping and release systems
  • Plate-breakage protection systems
  • Transversal presses

Cold Rolling

Danieli DiamondFlex™ cold mills

Four Danieli Diamond cold mills for strip production — two 4-high and two 6-high single-stand mills — using Danieli's proven OSRT (Optimized Shaped Roll) technology for the widest operational rolling flexibility available, from narrow to wide strip.

  • Strip flatness via Danieli's patented HiRES® coolant spray, extendable with Hot Edge Inductors
  • Automotive Body Sheet (ABS) capability, including low-reduction Electrical Discharge Textured (EDT) rolling
  • Dynamic Roll Stability System (DRSS) for stable rolling and roll-stack stability
  • Minimal Between-Coil-Time (BCT) for maximum pass speeds
  • Q-Start software validation for reduced start-up time
  • Built to current European safety and environmental directives

Mill Finishing

Straightened, cooled, cut to size

Precision cutting — OMRM 927 AL

Automatic single-head cutting machine with a diamond saw rated for 300 mm thickness × 2000 mm width, cutting precisely at any angle from 0° to 180° and intermediate degrees.

Cooling & straightening line

A 102 × 20 m automatic cooling and conveying table works with the tractor and straightening machine — rolls and planes adapted to each sheet and plate size — to deliver optimum flatness before cutting.

Rolled products are produced within a three-site European rolling network (Slovenia · Croatia · Serbia) — see the rolling programme.

Heat Treatment & Laboratory

Shared by both mills — furnaces instrumented to aerospace expectations and a testing lab that verifies every heat.

Heat Treatment

Furnaces that keep records like a laboratory

Continuous ageing and annealing with horizontal or vertical airflow matched to the load configuration.

Class 1 temperature control

Class 1 thermocouples (±1.5 °C) with AMS-dedicated sensors at ±1.1 °C, and ±2 °C temperature uniformity across the working zone.

Full digital traceability

Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC recorders with certified thermocouple modules — every cycle archived from 0.1 °C resolution at 1-second intervals.

T77-capable ageing

Multi-stage, multi-ramp ageing furnaces with ±10% airflow uniformity and cold-air injection for low-temperature steps — repeatable by design.

Post-rolling ageing improves alloy strength and stability for downstream operations, storage and transport.
